Maxwell Management Group Ltd. is proud to partner with Victoria Village Manor in the search for an Evening Shift (2pm-10pm) Associate Director of Nursing to join their team.
Community Overview:
Victoria Village Manor is a 128 bed long term care home that is dedicated to providing an innovative continuum of quality services and supports, promoting healthy aging in the heart of Barrie, Ontario.
Position Overview:
The Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) is accountable to the Director of Nursing for the day to day management of the nursing department and resident care services. Through effective management of all resources in the nursing envelope and development a strong nursing team, the ADON will ensure the delivery of optimal care and service, based on legislative requirements and Victoria Village Manor standards. The ADON will be responsible for overseeing clinical programs as well as clinical education.
The ADON is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the Victoria Village Mission, core values and employee guiding principles, management staff code of ethics and standards of employee conduct, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post diploma education preferred
- Possess a minimum of two years experience in Long Term Care or equivalent
- Demonstrate experience in working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and communications skills
- Possess sound clinical skills and knowledge of gerontological nursing practice
- Have familiarity with the funding process and the funding indicators
- Have knowledge of MOHLTC regulations
