Welcome to our course on Healthy Work Environments, where we will enhance knowledge and skills for transforming work environments and improving outcomes. Participants will learn from an HWE expert with extensive healthcare management experience, discussing the connection between HWE, retention, clinical excellence, and organizational goals.
Participant will embrace a healthy work environment (HWE) by fostering a culture of knowledge, promoting safety, inclusion, and ongoing skill development. This virtual two-session series covers theories and practices for cultivating a healthy, safe work environment, exploring HWE components, communication, interprofessional collaboration, conflict management, staffing, onboarding, retention, student engagement, and work-life balance. The series includes case studies and group discussions to apply HWE principles and demonstrate their impact on team retention and clinical excellence.

Compliance and Regulations in Long-Term Care: Navigating Standards in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta

Objective: Provide LTC staff with a quick, focused introduction to essential project management (PM) tools, empowering them with practical skills to immediately apply in their roles. The emphasis here is on rapid acquisition and practical application, ensuring that participants leave the session ready to integrate PM tools into their daily tasks.
SESSION 2. PM Skills Lab: Practical Tools for Project Success
Objective: Develop hands-on project management skills in LTC professionals through practical exercises with PM tools. “Skills Lab” highlights a workshop environment focused on practice and real-world application, helping participants master project success tools with direct relevance to LTC settings.
