Currently seeking 2 full time Registered Nurses to join the team of professionals at the 99-bed long term care home in New Hamburg, Ontario. As a Registered Nurse, you will contribute a high level of care for residents and enhance their overall quality of life. You will implement appropriate resident care plans through assessment, administer resident medication and prescribed treatments, and provide leadership to various healthcare support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with CNO.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience as an RN is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist residents, family members or others with concern and empathy.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

As a valued member of the team, the Assistant Director of Care demonstrates a commitment to the quality of resident care by providing services in accordance with the organization’s vision, mission and values.

In collaboration with the Director of Care, the Assistant Director of Care is accountable for the management of the nursing department, nursing staff and resident care services within the long term care home in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements and the organization standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinates, directs and monitors the effectiveness of all operational activities within the nursing department
  • Ensures and promotes the provision of resident centered care and services to meet the needs of the resident
  • Contributes to operational plans for the effective operation of the nursing department. Delegates responsibility to nursing staff based on clearly defined lines of authority and communication
  • Participates in the implementation of an effective quality and risk management system for the nursing department to ensure legislative regulations and standards are met. Participates in strategic planning and accreditation activities
  • Use quality tools to assist in determining root cause of issues and subsequent plans of improvement initiatives
  • Fosters effective interpersonal relationships between residents, families and other interdisciplinary health team members
  • Participate in the recruitment, orientation, development, evaluation, discipline and termination of nursing team members
  • Monitor and evaluate that nursing unit team members are compliant with the organization’s policies and procedures and Ministry standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS
  • 3 years’ experience of clinical nursing in a geriatric, long-term care, rehabilitation or chronic care setting

  • Nithview Community in New Hamburg – Independent Living, Retirement Assisted Living, Long-Term Care
  • Greenwood Court in Stratford – Independent Living, Retirement Living, Advance Care Plus Suites, Long-Term Care
  • Aldaview Services in New Hamburg provides support to people with developmental disabilities
 
As a valued member of the team, the Director of Finance and Corporate Services is responsible for overseeing the financial, human resources and facilities services for all divisions and will be reporting and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Director of Finance and Corporate services will partner with the senior leadership and the board of directors to develop and implement strategies across the organization.
 
The Director of Finance and Corporate Services must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace. This will include leading the financial analysis and financial planning for major redevelopment and expansion projects for TCMH’s divisions.
 
The successful candidate will have the option to work remotely some of the time or utilize office space in either Stratford or New Hamburg.
 

Responsibilities:

Finance
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Oversee cash, investment, and asset management.
  • Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
  • Develop budgets for capital projects and provide the CEO and board ROI analyses and appropriate strategies for interim and long-term financing.
 
Planning, Policy, and Investor Relations
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
  • Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
  • Engage the finance and audit committee of the board of directors to develop short-, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.
  • Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, public officials, etc.
  • Remain up to date on non-profit audit best practices and provincial and federal laws regarding non-profit and charitable operations.
  • Develop fundraising strategies and targets and oversee the fundraising activities.  
 
Accounting and Administration
  • Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting
