Position’s Overview:

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants (HCAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. Whether you are an experienced professional or just starting your career in healthcare, we offer a nurturing environment where you can grow, learn, and thrive.

Health Care Assistants (HCAs): As an HCA, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents’ daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and providing them with compassionate, person-centered care. You will work closely with our nursing team to deliver care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs): LPNs at ACCCS are integral to our care team, providing skilled nursing care, administering medications, and coordinating care plans. You will be responsible for monitoring residents’ health, providing wound care, and collaborating with RNs and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Registered Nurses (RNs): As an RN, you will take a leadership role in assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care to our residents. You will oversee the work of HCAs and LPNs, ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards, and work collaboratively with the entire care team to create a safe, supportive environment for our residents.

Qualifications:

Health Care Assistants (HCAs):

  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant Program.
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors and individuals with complex care needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):

  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Graduation from a recognized practical nursing program.
  • Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
  • Excellent clinical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Registered Nurses (RNs):

  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in geriatric care or a long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

 Compensation:

  • Competitive wages and benefits as listed below:
    • RN & RPN starting wage= $41.42- $59.52
    • LPN starting wage= $32.84
    • Health Care Aid starting wage= $29.83
