Administrator, Long Term Care

Maxwell Management Group Ltd. is honoured to be partnering with Elm Grove Living Centre in the recruitment of a Certified Long Term Care Administrator.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment, orientation and performance of key staff
- Fostering efficient performance and good staff morale
- Creating an environment that supports knowledge transfer
- Build and maintain relationships and networks that promote the Agency’s image in a positive and community-oriented way
- Establish positive working relationships with government funders and stakeholders, advocating with various levels of government for ongoing funding and support
- Leadership and supervision of day-to-day operations and strategic direction for the organization
- Development of policies and procedures
- Participating in the development of budgets and capital planning; oversight of capital projects
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and government bodies
- Participating in Board strategic planning; developing objectives to operationalize plans
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has successfully completed, or is enrolled in a program in long term home care administration or management that is minimum of 100 hours in duration of instruction time
- A university degree in Health, Gerontology, Business, Marketing or Social Services
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in health or social services sector
- Customer-focused attitude, with an emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with clients and funders
- Proven ability to generate creative solutions and new approaches to daily challenges
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ministry of Long-Term Care regulations
- Proven experience in employee and labour relations, fiscal management, strategic planning, change management and risk management
