Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent is accountable for directing, administering and coordinating all activities of a Signature Retirement Living (SRL) property, including the management of human, physical and financial resources. The Executive Director (ED) promotes SRL’s philosophy which supports the implementation and maintenance of superior hospitality, customer service and unmatched choice in resident care and ancillary services.

The ED will focus on the ongoing improvement of SRL’s business model to ensure maximum productivity; act as the sales champion by creating and maintaining a sales culture; establish key long-term relationships with business partners and corporate representatives that will enhance property operations, positive public reputation and top of mind awareness for marketing and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or industry related program, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial or leadership capacity in a retirement residence, senior management in a health agency or service industry.

Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager develops and implements site specific marketing and sales programs to achieve occupancy targets in accordance with legislative/regulatory requirements, Company policies and procedures and fiscal constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales by engaging in tours, presentations and meetings with potential prospects to achieve property occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Assist with developing the annual marketing and sales plan, departmental goals and objectives, and annual budget.
  • Market the Community’s services and amenities to potential residents, external groups and senior care system partners and assist the Executive Director in all sales related activities.
  • Perform ongoing market research and continually monitor competitors, and adjust marketing and sales efforts as needed.
  • Oversee all marketing and advertising promotional activities and staff involved in these activities.
  • Engage with Culinary and Lifestyle departments for purposes of specials events planning.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure community common areas and suites are clean and welcoming for sales prospects.
  • In conjunction with Director of Care negotiate care services for new residents.
  • Keep up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts, and details of meetings in a timely manner using the Company’s Customer Relationship Management Software.
  • Process the appropriate deposits and Lease Agreements.
  • Enforce and adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and Company policies and procedures.
  • Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business/marketing field is an asset, along with previous sales experience, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Excellent English communication (both oral and written), including presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of local community, competitors and media contacts.
  • Computer proficiency including media software, internet resources and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Drivers’ license.

Come join Partners Community Health (PCH) as the Director of Care will support the planning, transition and clinical operations at the new  new Long-Term Care home, with a combined 632 beds, which is set to open in south Mississauga in 2023.

PCH is a not-for-profit, charitable organization formed in response to growing health care needs in the Mississauga region, to deliver services that give people access to the care they need, when they need it, right in their own community. By operating community-based health hubs and partnering with the Mississauga Ontario Health Team, Trillium Health Partners and across the community,  We are committed to building strong system partnerships and connections that put people first, a learning and leading healthcare community and best in class service across the aging continuum.

Position Overview:

The Director of Care will report to the Executive Director. Along with the Executive Director, the Director of Care will operationalize the Model of Care in alignment with the Philosophy of Care for the new site and oversee the safe transition of the current residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage positive relationships with all the residents, staff, and the community through active engagement with the Councils and Physician team.
  • Advances excellence in practice, ensuring effective CQI framework for each program approach.
  • Leads the direct care teams; including IPAC management, ADOCs, and Scheduling; while being adaptable and innovative on the floors to coach and encourage problem-solving and working to scope for each discipline.
  • Creates a resident living environment that is comfortable and safe and provide privacy, dignity, individuality and safeguarding of personal choice; liaises with family members as necessary
  • Promotes the Resident’s Bill of Rights and demonstrates sensitivity in all aspects of a resident’s life.
  • Ensures an interdisciplinary approach to care planning and implementation and supports the family’s/resident’s right to participate and be informed of the care delivered.
  • Monitors and assesses the medication and treatment routines including the provision of skin and wound care to ensure best practice and optimum support for the residents.
  • Leads medication management and ED transfer quality working groups.
  • Leads the quarterly Professional Advisory Committee, participates as a member of the Physician monthly meetings and meets weekly with the Medical Director; all to ensure safe, effective and excellent quality care.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all standards and guidelines established by the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act and CMI requirements, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the College of Nurses of Ontario and other applicable legislation.
  • In partnership with the ED and an interdisciplinary team, implements and oversees all system capacity initiatives to increase flow and facilitate safe transfers.
