We use a resident-centered approach and interdisciplinary collaboration with the resident’s voice as the focus when it comes to decisions concerning resident safety, day to day care, quality of care, and end-of-life comfort measures.

We collaborate with all our staff and community partners to provide a healthy and positive atmosphere, where new ideas are welcomed and developed. The ideal Director of Care is experienced in Long Term Care and is seasoned enough to provide leadership and management within an accredited environment promoting an interdisciplinary approach to a resident-centered model of care. The focus will be to optimize continuous quality improvement utilizing evidence-based best practice.
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in Long Term Care.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a nurse in Long Term Care.
- Current registration with BCCNM.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care techniques related to Long Term Care.
- Ability to bring innovative thinking and continuous improvement mindset while able to work within the governing practices of the Centre.
- A solid reputation for the level of care given to residents and families.
