Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Resident Care, the Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the nursing leadership team to provide quality resident care consistent with all applicable legislation including the Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements, College of Nurses Standards, the Quality Inspection Process, RAI-MDS 2.0, St. Joseph’s Health System mission, vision, and values and St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre policies and procedures.
In addition to receiving leadership and support from the DOC, the Clinical Manager will receive ample support and work collaboratively with a robust team of clinical professionals, including a second Clinical Manager, an IPAC Champion, 2 RAI Coordinators, Quality Manager, BSO, Admissions Coordinator as well as 2 Attending Physicians, 1 Nurse Practitioner and a Social Worker.
Qualifications:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Leadership Education or Training with demonstrated effectiveness in managing a workforce
- Recent Long Term Care experience at the nursing management level with the ability to effectively manage human resources and day to day labour relations
