Blue Heron Dental is in rapid expansion mode and will be acquiring other dental practices in Eastern Ontario. This provides a tremendous opportunity for the Operations Manager to grow, develop and manage multiple dental sites in Eastern Ontario. The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the dental clinic while managing the organization’s Human Resources.

The organization is rapidly expanding and will be acquiring other dental practices which the Operations Manager will oversee.

Reporting to the CEO and serving as an effective member of senior management, the primary responsibility of this role is to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficient growth and structured goal achievement in set time lines.

Working with the management team, the Operations Manager will oversee the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.


  • Coordinate, manage and monitor various departments in busy dental clinic
    Utilize financial data to improve efficiency, prepare and control operational budgets
  • Control inventory and recommend effective strategies for financial wellbeing of the company
  • Monitor, manage and improve efficiency of support services such as labs, Software, IT, suppliers etc.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions including finance
  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
  • Manage the HR function, including – assist in recruitment and placement of required staff, train, supervise, monitor performance, delegate tasks and conduct performance evaluations in conjunction with the CEO
  • Assist in development and implementation of strategic solutions


  • Previous Healthcare Management experience required
  • Post Secondary Degree preferred
  • Must have previous experience with human resource and operations management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced and high pressured environment
  • Change Management experience an asset
