Company Overview:

Our client is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to developing a safe and caring environment for gracefully aging seniors.  They are known as an intergenerational community for families both young and older with a focus on creating a safe and encouraging place in a congregated setting.

This Community is guided by Christian faith and Mennonite heritage.

 Position & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to plan, organize, and direct SCOC administrative operations, including client trust and billings, payroll/scheduling and business files
  • Provides leadership, direction and coordination of administrative services, including customer service to staff, residents, tenants and families
  • Acts as the system administrator for SCOC’s suite of software and telephone systems, including implementation, maintenance, security, troubleshooting and training
  • Develops administrative systems, businesses processes and procedures as required
  • Provides oversight to the reception and administrative staff, works in partnership with finance and accounting personnel
  • Ensures that employees perform work in accordance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act (2007) and supporting regulations 79/10, Health and Safety legislation and organizational/ departmental policies and procedures
  • Understands and interprets all components of related legislation for staff, clients and families and maintain systems and processes to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Provides administrative and clerical support for Chief Executive Officer as directed
  • Serves as the organization’s Accreditation Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, including supervisory
  • Comprehension of specialized materials (legal, technical or professional)
  • Experience in healthcare setting, preferably LTC
