Our valued client is currently seeking a:

Office Manager, Retirement Living

to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of staff training as per various legislative regulations
  • Perform payroll duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wages and salaries of all staff.
  • Update monthly rent roll and make bank deposits.
  • Organizing vendor invoices to be sent to head office.
  • Answering phones, conducting tours, handling resident/family/staff concerns and questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial, personnel and resident data.
  • Be knowledgeable of and practice residence’s fire and safety programs.
  • Ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Conduct resident tours.
  • Actively participate in marketing of the retirement residence as per direction of the owner.
  • Prepare all resident billings.  Handle payments and all queries concerning billings from residents and/or their families.
  • Provide full secretarial support for the General Manager and other supervisory staff for the residence.
  • Provide initial face-to-face and telephone contact with visitors. Provide direction to visitors and callers and/or notify appropriate people as required.
  • Provide personal and telephone contact with residents. Attend to the needs of the residents and/or notify appropriate people as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous employment in a health care residence an asset but not mandatory.
  • Highly organized, a self-started, proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Highly flexible and resourceful.
  • Efficient in performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fully proficient in both English and French oral and written languages.
  • Patience, tolerance and politeness when responding to residents and visitors to the residence.
